Today was a very good day! The bookstore has a new program that they offer students, which is the option to purchase an ebook instead of a regular textbook. Ebooks are books that are entirely accessible online. There is no paper or covers to books involved. This is a very good option that is a lot more sustainable option. This should be implemented throughout all universities. The one downfall right now is that not all university books are available as an ebook option. If most or all books were available online I believe this program would be much more successful. But this is definitely a step in the right direction. Plus all those textbooks are really heavy. Who would want to carry them around when they have the option of just referring to them on laptop or computer.
