Matanzas Pass Preserve and Historic Cottage

At Matanza Pass Preserve and Historic Cottage I learned about how quickly change and development can occur and how important it is to save land. It was very interesting listening to the woman talk about how when she was a child there was only one small school in which the bus consisted of a vehicle, and less than a century later seeing the change that occurred. Cars, trucks, many street lights, businesses and people were everywhere. It was sad to hear about the fishermen losing their jobs due to people overfishing certain fish. It was hard to believe how fast industrialization occurred. It makes you think. If that drastic amount of change occurred that quickly what is going to happen to other areas such as the Everglades or other green areas.
